National Security Minister Fitzgerald Hinds has met with Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Ugo Blanco.
Held on Monday, the discussions focused on activities under a number of projects currently being undertaken by UNDP and Ministry stakeholders.
These included the CariSECURE 2.0 project, and the PACE Justice project.
CariSECURE 2.0 focuses on the technology, equipment, and training needed to better collect and analyse crime data, the PACE Justice Project aims to help enhance the institutional capacities to efficiently manage criminal cases.
The Ministry says discussions also included potential areas for future partnership with the UNDP.
Also in attendance were Assistant Resident Representative of the UNDP, Ms. Sharifa Ali-Abdullah; Project Associate, CariSECURE 2.0, Ms. Amanda Ackbarali-Ramdial; and Deputy Director, International Affairs Unit, Ministry of National Security, Major (Ret’d) Richard Lynch.
