Two of the three suspects held in connection with a report of Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, False Imprisonment and Robbery with Violence were this morning denied bail by a Rio Claro Magistrate.

The accused are 25 year old Sean Rivers, 22 year old Kwesi Ravello and 22 year old Isaiah Deonarine.

Rivers and Ravello were both advised to apply to a Judge in Chambers for bail, while Deonarine was granted $650,000 bail and ordered to move to a relative’s house.

The matter was postponed to December 12th 2023.

On the night of November 15th 2023, a man was sitting at a house in Rio Claro when he was accosted by five men who allegedly put him in handcuffs and began beating him.

The men are also said to have demanded money owed, with the victim taken from the house against his will.

He was reportedly assaulted over the course of the night, causing injuries to his arms, legs and head.

Police were alerted the following morning and rescued the victim.

While three suspects have been held, the search continues for three others.
