Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley is leaving for Saudi Arabia today.
There, he is scheduled to attend the CARICOM-Saudi Arabia Summit in the Kingdom’s capital, Riyadh.
The Summit will be co-chaired by Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and CARICOM Chairman Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of Dominica.
The event will include the participation of CARICOM Heads of State, as well as the CARICOM Secretary-General.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister says “leaders are scheduled to participate in focused, in-depth, and active engagement on issues of mutual importance at the bilateral, inter-regional and global levels.”
Accompanying Dr Rowley are Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Amery Browne, Energy Minister Stuart Young and Agriculture Minister Kazim Hosein.
Finance Minister Colm Imbert will act as Prime Minister until Dr Rowley’s return.
