Two suspects are now in custody after stealing ‘scratch’ tickets and other items.
Around 4:15am yesterday, officers responded to a report of a break-in at a Lotto outlet on Nelson Street, Port of Spain.
While searching the building, the responding officers found two men hiding on the upper floor, with $6,000 worth of NLCB ‘scratch’ tickets on their person.
The TTPS says the owner of the business arrived around 6am and discovered other items missing as well, including two 32-inch televisions, one RCA Radio, one fan, three bottles of olive oil and $420 cash.
