Update: The body of a man washed away in flood waters on Monday has reportedly been found.

A search and rescue effort continues this morning after a man was washed away in a drain during yesterday’s floods.

A video circulating online showed an individual in a flooded drain in Lawrence Park, Malabar.

103.1FM News spoke with Arima Central Councillor Sheldon Garcia this morning, who confirmed that efforts to find the man are ongoing with search and rescue officials.

D’Abadie/O’Meara MP Lisa Morris-Julian meanwhile said anyone who can assist can contact her or Councillor Garcia.
