WASA says it is taking steps to deliver pipe borne water to parts of Valencia which have been impacted by a cutback in production.
A week ago, Gwendolyn Charles – who ran as an independent candidate in the 2023 Local Government Election – said residents had no water for six to eight weeks.
WASA says the Hollis Water Treatment Plant and Quare Booster Station were impacted by below-normal rainfall over the past four months, affecting supply to extremities and elevated areas.
The company says it is now increasing production at Hollis in keeping with recent rainfall and increasing production at the Quare station as there has been an increase in flow at the area’s river.
It is making efforts to deliver pipe borne supply to areas including San Pablo, San Pedro, Mora, Clarance Trace, Cumaca Road, Casuarina Boulevard and environs.
