Nepal and Oman book 2024 T20 World Cup spots

Nepal and Oman have qualified for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Both teams won their semi-finals in the Asia Qualifiers to secure the two spots up for grabs via the tournament.

Oman chased 107 without losing a wicket while Nepal beat the UAE by eight wickets in their clash.

They join the United States and West Indies who automatically qualified for the World Cup as hosts, along with the top eight teams from the previous World Cup.

The 20 participants for the World Cup also include Afghanistan and Bangladesh via the T20I rankings, Ireland and Scotland through the Europe Qualifier, Papua New Guinea via the East Asia-Pacific Qualifier and Canada through the Americas Qualifier.

The Africa Qualifier, which will add the final two teams to the World Cup, will be played from November 22nd to 30th in Namibia.

The World Cup takes place from June 4th to 30th, 2024.
