Pastor urges PM to attend gov’t/opposition crime talks

A religious leader is urging the Prime Minister to attend crime talks with the Opposition.

Pastor Clive Dottin spoke at the T&T Scrap Iron Dealers Association’s Crime Talks in Sangre Grande last night.

He focused some of his attention on proposed discussions between the opposition and a five-member government team which does not include the name of Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

Pastor Dottin insisted that the Prime Minister must be in attendance as an “all-hands-on-deck” approach is needed to fight crime.

A similar call has been made by Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

Pastor Dottin also called for religious bodies of various faiths to work together.
