Condolences continue to pour in following the passing of businesswoman Helen Bhagwansingh.

Mrs B, as she is fondly known, passed away early yesterday morning.

Last evening, Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley issued a statement expressing condolences.

He said, apart from a strong woman who made a name for herself in the world of business, she was an inspiration to many and a philanthropist who believed in her country.

AMCHAM meanwhile says Mrs Bhagwansingh has left a powerful and lasting legacy.

In particular, AMCHAM noted that she donated $5 million to diabetes research to assist in reducing the incidence of the disease in T&T.
