The Met Service has extended its Yellow Level Hazardous Seas Alert.

The Alert was due to end this afternoon, but will now continue until tomorrow.

The TTMS says while northerly long period swells are slowly dampening, occasional coastal breakers will continue to be larger than normal during high tide.

As such, caution is still advised.

Additionally, gusty winds in the vicinity of heavy downpours can further agitate sea conditions.
