A 5-year-old girl is now hospitalized after she was allegedly left unattended in a locked vehicle.

Reports indicate the child was found unconscious in the vehicle in Siparia yesterday.

The girl is being treated for symptoms related to heat stroke and dehydration.

103.1FM News understands that police are investigating the incident.

Just last week, the TTPS held a media briefing where child protection was discussed, with Superintendent Claire Guy-Alleyne highlighting the importance of supervising children.
