A Sangre Grande man was fatally shot during a birthday party.

Around 2:15am today, several persons were liming in the yard of a house at North Eastern Settlement when loud explosions were heard.

Three persons were shot and subsequently taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital for medical attention.

22-year-old Jessie Baptiste was pronounced dead a short while later, while the other two victims were treated.

First Responders at the scene included Ag Cpl Nanhoo, WPC Lalla, PC Seenath, PC West, PC Baseano and PC Aberdeen of the E.D.T.F.
