A new coast guard facility will be established in Tobago.

This comes from Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley, who told today’s Post Cabinet briefing that help is being provided by the United States.

He says this facility will help with patrolling Tobago, as well as the northern and eastern coasts of Trinidad.

Dr Rowley says the U.S. is also providing small craft and training opportunities for local personnel.
