The U.S. Embassy has donated a 40-bed field hospital and ambulance to the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA).
The field hospital consists of four adaptable units to aid in field operations and emergency responses.
It is valued at TT$3.5 million, while the ambulance is valued at TT$758,157.
A handing over ceremony was held on October 24th at the Shaw Park Complex.
Addressing attendees was U.S. Ambassador Candace Bond, who said the donation will enhance Tobago’s emergency response capability and provide TEMA with the flexibility and capacity to respond swiftly to crises.
