A Palmiste businessman has been granted $300,000 bail on charges related to the expected importation of vehicles.

According to police, victims reportedly paid a man $226,000 in down payments to import, register and deliver various vehicles.

However, they subsequently discovered that he never had authority to execute such transactions.

Following investigations, 28-year-old Eberneil Eron Bernard was arrested on October 19th and granted bail by a Justice of the Peace.

He is expected to appear in court on November 2nd, 2023.
