Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ continues to dominate the U.S. box office.
The concert film, distributed by AMC Theatres, collected an estimated $31 million in its second weekend.
It now has a domestic total of $129.8 million and is the first concert film to cross the $100 million mark in the U.S., not adjusted for inflation.
The $15 million project was self-financed by Swift.
In second place at the U.S. box office was Martin Scorsese‘s Western drama ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ which made a respectable $23 million on debut.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone and Robert De Niro, the film is third-best nationwide opening of Scorsese’s career, behind 2010’s ‘Shutter Island’ ($41 million) and 2006’s ‘The Departed’ ($26.9 million), not adjusted for inflation.
‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ was also warmly received outside the U.S., topping the box offices in a number of countries, including France, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Finland.
