The Government says the Public Holiday to celebrate Divali 2023 in Trinidad and Tobago will be Sunday November 12th.

As customary, when such a holiday falls on a Sunday, the Monday is also observed as a holiday.

The Office of the Prime Minister noted:

“In accordance with the provisions of Section 4 (1) of the Public Holidays and Festivals Act, Chapter 19:05, Her Excellency, Christine Carla Kangaloo, O.R.T.T., President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, on the advice of the Cabinet, has declared Sunday November 12, 2023 as the date of the public holiday in recognition of the Festival of Divali”.
