3,000 pounds of waste collected during coastal clean-up

Nearly 3,000 pounds of waste was collected as part of a coastal clean-up initiative.

Led by Caribbean Airlines in collaboration with the Caribbean Network for Integrated Rural Development, activities took place simultaneously in Trinidad, Guyana, and Barbados on October 14th.

Undertaking the task were 220 CAL employees and their families.

CAL says data on the amount of garbage collected was meticulously recorded by CNIRD and will be integrated into each country’s official statistics.

Those statistics will be then be added to an international database, which serves as a crucial resource for developing effective strategies to combat pollution and protect ecosystems.
