WASA says emergency repair works at the El Socorro Booster Station are expected to be completed by 8pm today.

It says a ruptured suction pipeline at the facility has led to a supply disruption.

Affected areas are Barataria, Morvant, Laventille, Picton Road, East Dry River, Port of Spain, Belmont, Woodbrook, West Moorings, Long Circular Road, Dundonald Hill, Dibe, Cocorite, St. Anns, Cascade.

WASA adds that it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize to some affected areas after repairs are completed.
