A post-mortem has determined that the baby found in a bag in Maraval last week was stillborn.

This was revealed by the TTPS which today confirmed that a 21-year-old Venezuelan woman is in custody and assisting the Homicide Bureau with its investigation.

The autopsy was performed yesterday.

The baby was found by sanitation workers in a garbage container at the corner of Bowen Street and Saddle Road on October 4th 2023.

The woman was held last Friday.
