Tropical Depression likely to form soon in the Atlantic

A Tropical Depression is likely to form soon over the eastern Atlantic Ocean.

The National Hurricane Centre says the broad area of low pressure continues to produce a large area of showers and thunderstorms.

It adds that environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development, with a tropical depression is likely to form during the next couple of days.

The system is forecast to move west-northwestward or northwestward across the eastern tropical Atlantic.
