Deputy Mayor speaks on water woes in Granville and environs

Following protests in Granville over the weekend, the Deputy Siparia Mayor says a number of areas are still without a water supply.

Residents protested Saturday evening into Sunday and Mr Shankar Teelucksingh says the Upper Granville Village area was without a pipe-borne supply for between 10 and 15 days.

He notes that there has been some improvement around the area but adds that a number of communities remain without water.

Mr Teelucksingh believes the issues are being caused by a number of factors.
