The government intends to update the country next month on the restructuring of Atlantic LNG.
Energy Minister Stuart Young made the statement this morning as the budget debate continued in the Parliament.
The government previously announced that Atlantic LNG would be restarted, after its facility was not able to access enough gas in recent years to keep its four units running.
Mr Young also announced other projects that are on stream with major oil companies to improve the energy sector.
However, in his contribution, Pointe-a-Pierre MP David Lee accused the government of making no significant investments to improve the sector over the last eight years.
MP Lee also claimed that oil and gas production have not increased since the PNM took office.
