An accident along the Valencia Stretch has claimed the life of a man.

103.1FM News understands the victim was attempting to cross around 5:30am in the vicinity of Swan Quarry Road, when he was hit by a fielder wagon.

Thus far, the victim has only been identified as Abdul, of Swan Quarry Road.

A post mortem has been ordered.

Visiting the scene was a team of officers led by Sergeant Hazel and Sergeant Garcia, and coordinated by Acting Inspector Kistow.
