The country’s teachers’ union is condemning the behaviour seen in a video showing what it calls disrespect and gross misconduct by a student.

Following the circulation of a video on social media, TTUTA says this behaviour often threatens to break the spirit of teachers.

It believes it is imperative that the education system provides more avenues to afford schools the ability to instil higher levels of discipline.

It is calling on the Ministry of Education, the NPTA and all education stakeholders to play greater roles in supporting teachers.
