A chemist has been granted bail after appearing in court over fraud charges stemming from the purchase of self-adhesive stickers.
According to police, in October 2022 a man sold items worth over $7,700 to a man who owns a business in Central Trinidad.
The victim claims he received four cheques to cover the cost but they were returned as dishonoured by the bank.
Police say requests for a return of the goods or payment of the debt proved futile.
37-year-old Ernesto Johnson was arrested on October 4th, 2023 and has been granted $100,000 bail by a justice of the peace over four counts of Obtaining Property by use of Dishonoured Cheques.
