Two out of four suspects have been sentenced to 18 months in jail after appearing in court charged with stealing a chocolate delivery truck.
24-year-old Tyrese Jones and 38-year-old Sheldon Gyton appeared virtually before the Sangre Grande Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The other two suspects, 22-year-old Amir Ali and 26-year-old Arnold Ramlal, pleaded not guilty and were denied bail, pending their next court appearance on October 20th, 2023.
The truck was stolen on September 20th while the salesman was conducting business at a gas station along the Eastern Main Road, Manzanilla.
Police later intercepted a gold Navara with four occupants matching the description of the suspects, while the truck was recovered along Cedar Hill Road.
