A 33-year-old Mayaro man is being questioned by police after allegedly being held with a homemade shotgun and a round of ammunition.

According to the TTPS, the suspect from Newlands Village, was held this morning during a firearm eradication exercise at a garden camp.

The man is not authorised to have the weapon and is facing charges of firearm and ammunition possession.
