The T&T Met Service has discontinued its yellow-level hot spell warning but reminds that the country is still in its heat season.
In an update issued this morning, it says cloudy conditions and rainfall have led to lower maximum temperatures and these conditions are forecast for the next three days.
However, the Met Service says warm to hot temperatures are still expected through the heat season which runs from May to October each year.
As such, it is still urging people to be aware that the hottest time of the day is usually between 10am and 4pm and to take measures to avoid the heat.
These include wearing the appropriate clothing, staying hydrated, keeping out of direct sunlight when possible, wearing sunscreen and opening windows and doors where possible for ventilation.
