Trinbago Knight Riders are into the final of the 2023 Caribbean Premier League after a seven-wicket win over Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Guyana batted first last evening at Providence Stadium and made 166/7 in 20 overs on the back of 49 from Saim Ayub.

However, TKR got to their target in 18.1 overs as Chadwick Walton found form to hit 80 not out from 57 balls.

Speaking after the game, Walton said it was an emotional experience getting to his half century, noting that it has been a while since he made a fifty.

Meanwhile, captain Kieron Pollard said the team felt as though the Amazon Warriors were 20-25 runs short and knew that once TKR batted well, they would get to the target.

Guyana next play defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs tomorrow from 7pm to decide who will meet TKR in Sunday’s final.
