Several concerns were raised by members of the public at the UNC’s second pre-budget consultation.

Ahead of the presentation of the fiscal package on October 2nd, a meeting with held at the Chaguanas Borough Corporation, involving residents from throughout the borough.

According to the UNC, concerns raised included the cost of living, unemployment, crime, water supply issues and flooding.

The UNC has previously said that the public engagement from these pre-budget consultations will help inform its response to Finance Minister Colm Imbert’s presentation in Parliament.

Consultations continue today at the Preysal High School from 6:30pm.
