The MV Cabo Star has been inspected and certified as safe to operate, according to the T&T Inter-Island Ferry Service.

Its latest update was shared via its Facebook page last night, almost a month after a fire on the vessel on August 23rd, 2023.

Yesterday, the Port Authority announced that repairs were completed and a subsequent Facebook post confirmed the vessel’s return to service.

The boat is expected to sail at 2pm from Port of Spain today with a return sailing leaving Scarborough from 11pm.

The Cabo Star’s repairs were paid for by its owner Bridgemans.
