A man, who went to purchase an iPhone at midnight in Arima, escaped injury after a gunman shot at his vehicle.

The Guardian Newspaper reported that the Marabella resident drove into a trace to purchase the phone he saw for sale on Facebook.

After no sight of anyone, he tried to drive out but then saw three men on the roadway, one of whom had a gun.

As he sped off, the gunman shot at his vehicle, hitting the front and back windscreens.
