The Energy Ministry and the Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) are continuing their separate investigations into a fatal accident at a NiQuan plant in June 2023.

During the incident, Massy employee Allan Lane Ramkissoon was injured and subsequently died at a Colombia hospital.

Concerning the Ministry’s investigation, Minister Stuart Young gave an update in Parliament this afternoon.

Mr Young also said OSHA has since issued a prohibition notice for the plant to cease operations.
