Lee is now a hurricane.

No coastal watches or warnings have been issued just yet, however interests in the northern Leeward Islands are being advised to monitor the progress of this system.

On its forecast path, Lee poses no direct threat to T&T.

The National Hurricane Centre says maximum sustained winds have increased to near 120 km/h.

Steady to rapid strengthening is forecast, and Lee is expected to become a major hurricane in a day or two.
