T&T picked up six medals at the recently concluded CAC Youth Chess Festival held in St Ann’s.

According to the T&T Chess Association, the country won two gold, two silver and two bronze and finished second overall out of 15 countries.

T&T’s medallists were:
• Adrian Allum – 1st place U-10 Open
• Kael Samuel Bisnath – 1st place U-14 Open
• Caleb Harry – 2nd place U-8 Open
• Alexandra Kumar – 2nd place U-12 Female
• Nicholas Mc Letchie – 3rd place U-10 Open
• Joshua Medina – 3rd place U-16 Open

Overall, Jamaica topped the countries involved, followed by T&T and Cuba.

The competition was held from August 21st to 26th at the Cascadia Hotel.
