THA Chief Secretary Farley Augustine says alternative solutions are needed for reliable inter-island transport services.
During a Town Hall Meeting at Mount Irvine Bay Hotel this morning, he stated that for air travel, Caribbean Airlines should not be the only option.
Mr Augustine said during a recent trip to New York, T&T citizens residing there told him it was difficult to book flights to return home for Christmas this year.
As a result, he suggested that other airlines can be leased for direct flights between Tobago and other countries.
The Chief Secretary also said Tobago should have a greater role in making decisions to improve transport between both islands.
