Over TT$21 million dollars worth of cocaine was found washed ashore in Mayaro yesterday.

The TTPS says officers acting on information went to a location in Guayaguayare, where they found 36 packets of a white substance.

The drug has a total weight of 46 kilograms and an estimated street value of TT$21,373,440.

Also in the Eastern Division, officers responding to a report of a loud explosion around 10pm on Tuesday, went to Newlands Village, Mayaro, where they recovered an abandoned vehicle with false registration plates.

The officers also found an extended magazine and eleven rounds of ammunition hidden in the vehicle.
