Police are seeking the public’s help for information on two fatal traffic accidents.

One occurred around 7pm last night along the Uriah Butler Highway in Caroni.

The TTPS says 66-year-old Balraj Lutchman of Carlsen Field was attempting to cross the Highway when he was struck by a grey Kia vehicle heading north.

The impact sent Mr Lutchman into the path of oncoming vehicles.

While the driver of the Kia stopped, other vehicles that hit the victim did not.

The other incident occurred around 3am on Sunday in La Fillette.

39-year-old Leroy De Verteil was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking along Paria Main Road.

Police are looking to identify the motorist and vehicle involved.

In light of these incidents, police are urging pedestrians to use crosswalks and walkovers where possible.
