The newly-elected Councillors of the Chaguanas Borough Corporation have been sworn in.

During the ceremony this afternoon, newly-reappointed Mayor Faaiq Mohammed expressed confidence in the eight elected Councillors to continue working for the benefit of their burgesses.

Following the Local Government Elections on August 14th, 2023, the UNC retained control of the corporation by winning seven districts, with one being captured by the PNM.
