Residents of Ortoire Village blocked the road this morning as early as 3 o’clock to voice their frustration over unaddressed water supply issues.

According to Mayaro MP Rushton Paray, the community last received a pipe-borne supply on August 2nd, 2023.

Bundy, a resident of the area speaking to 103.1FM News, explains that his village has been left enduring hardships.

MP Paray notes that there was a recent meeting with WASA and several village councils, during which he says, there were commitments to address supply issues.

However, he says, to date residents remain affected and he is calling on WASA to prioritize and expedite the resolution of these issues.
