“Barbie” has been banned in Algeria where authorities say the film goes against its moral values.
According to Reuters, an official source says the film “promotes homosexuality and other Western deviances” and that it “does not comply with Algeria’s religious and cultural beliefs”.
Some other countries including Lebanon and Kuwait have banned the film on grounds of morality.
“Barbie” has already surpassed the billion-dollar mark after its July 21st premier.
