West Indies wicketkeeper/batter Nicholas Pooran has been fined 15% of his match fee for a breach of the ICC Code of Conduct.
The breach occurred during the second T20I against India in Guyana following the review of an LBW decision in the fourth over of India’s innings.
The ICC says Pooran criticized the umpires for having to use a player review for decision which he thought was clearly not out.
Pooran admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction of a reprimand and one demerit point and as such, there was no need for a formal hearing.
West Indies won yesterday’s match by two wickets with Pooran starring with 67 from 40.
