Former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori has replaced Brian Lara as head coach of IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The club announced the decision this morning as its two-year association with Lara came to an end.

Lara was first the Sunrisers’ batting coach for a season before he took over as head coach from Tom Moody.

Vettori meanwhile previously coached Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2014 to 2018 and is currently coaching the Birmingham Phoenix at the Hundred and is with the Australia men’s team.

He also previously coached the Barbados Royals in the CPL.
