No charges in Cardi B mic throwing incident

Las Vegas Police have dropped their criminal battery investigation into the Cardi B microphone throwing incident.

Last weekend during a show at Drai’s Beachclub, the rapper flung her microphone at an audience member who threw a drink at her.

According to BBC News, the Vegas Metropolitan Police Department cited insufficient evidence, saying “After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case.”

Video from earlier in the concert showed Cardi B asking a different member of the audience to spray her with water.

Also, after the incident, she reportedly explained that the earlier spray had been done on her back and at her request, which the incident in question was someone unexpectedly throwing water which hit her face.

Meanwhile, according to BBC News, the microphone is allegedly being auctioned off on eBay by the owner of an audio company – reaching more than $99,000 so far.
