West Indies and India have been fined for slow over-rates in yesterday’s first T20I at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.
According to the ICC, West Indies were two overs short of the minimum over-rate, while India were one over short.
Both captains, Rovman Powell and Hardik Pandya pleaded guilty to the offences and accepted sanctions.
As such, the home team has been fined 10% of the match fee, while the visitors have been fined 5%.
West Indies won the game by four runs in a final-over thriller.
