India’s crushing win over the West Indies in Tarouba, Trinidad signified the troubles the regional team has been having, with a 200-run loss in front a home crowd.
The Indian’s innings was filled with four half centuries led by Shubman Gill’s 85 and captain Hardik Pandya’s 70 not out.
They got to 351 for 5 in 50 overs, giving the WI a tough ask.
But their innings never got underway smoothly, as newcome Alick Athanaze’s 32 and lower order batsman Gudakesh Motie’s 39 not out the higlight of the paltry innings.
The Windies faltered for 151 in 35.3 overs. Sharduk Thackur took 4/37.
Ishan Kishan was named man of the series.
