After retaining the Ashes urn, Australia are in a good position to end the series with an outright win 3-1, once their batsmen survive Day 5 of the fifth test and score 249 runs.
That’s the equation, after England’s bowlers were unable to snag a wicket in the final hours of the fourth day, with Australia reaching 135 without loss, after being given a target of 384 to win.
The Ashes series has been a tough one for England, having lost the first two games, winning the third, drawing the fourth due to rain and now, despite a strong batting performance, Australia seem to have the upper hand still.
