Nicholas Pooran and MI New York are into Qualifier 2 of Major League Cricket after beating Washington Freedom in the Eliminator.

MI were captained by Pooran yesterday as Kieron Pollard missed the game after hurting his shoulder in the match before.

MI made 141/7 batting first with 57 coming from Dewald Brevis – T&T’s Akeal Hosein took one wicket.

Then, Trent Boult took 4/20 as Washington fell short by 16 runs making 125/9, confirming MI’s spot in Qualifier 2 against Texas Super Kings at 8:30pm today.

The winner of Qualifier 2 will play the final on Sunday at 8:30pm against Seattle Orcas who won Qualifier 1 against Texas by nine wickets.
