Police are working to confirm the identity of a decomposing body found in Arouca yesterday.

The Guardian Newspaper reported that officers suspect it may be a man who went missing in late June.

Around 2:45pm yesterday, sniffer dogs were brought in by police as they dug beneath soil to find the body, in a bushy area off Palm Drive, Windy Hill.

According to the article, the body appeared to be wrapped in cloth, wearing a black t-shirt with a tattoo on the chest was found and the man’s feet were tied.
